Porter meets chocolate mousse pralines

An unusual pairing for many: beer and chocolate. Yet dark beers such as stouts or porters go perfectly with dark chocolate. It doesn’t always have to be coffee. For my first beer and chocolate pairing, I chose the Patt Porter from Pühaste in Estonia. It’s pitch black with complex flavours of dark chocolate, coffee and caramel. I also chose chocolate mousse pralines, covered in a layer of dark chocolate and topped with white chocolate shavings, made by Zimt & Zucker from Bergisch Gladbach near Cologne. The flavours of the beer and the chocolates complement each other very well. 5 out of 5 points. Especially now at Christmas time, you can also experiment with gingerbread or speculoos. Cheers & bon appétit!
